Holistic Health Practitioner

Completion of either 500 hour Massage Therapist or Oriental Arts Therapist….500 Hours; (Both 500 Hours include 100 hours of Anatomy and Physiology). Anatomy/Physiology for Body workers (Advanced) 50 hours
Supervised Practice (clinical) 100 hours
Students may choose from electives of Aromatherapy, Yoga Teacher Certification, Herb and Nutrition Counselor, or Clinical Hypnotherapist to complete HHP or 1000 Hours.
This 1,000-hour course prepares the student to enter the work force as a Holistic Health Practitioner.

Job Title: Holistic Health Practitioner

The HHP course can be completed in 12-24 months, depending on student flexibility and classes taken.
Skills to be learned:

1. Massage Techniques (Includes completion of 500-hour Massage Therapist Course).
2. Anatomy physiology for body workers - Students will continue to learn the origin and insertion of deep musculature system.
3. Supervised Practice - The students will have completed at least 100 hours of clinical work experience under supervision. (150 hours)
4. Teaching Assistance - Students may be offered to assist in classes where they show a high proficiency. (up to 100 hours)
5. Advanced Marketing (business plan, marketing) - Students will work on ad copy, complete a flyer for marketing massage to be reviewed by a faculty advisor. (50 hours)
6. Nutrition - Students will learn how to balance the organs, glands, and health of the body with nutrition. (50 hours)
7. Course Electives - Students may choose from Massage Assessment II, Manual Lymph Drainage, Sports, Adv. Shiatsu, Kinesiology, Reiki II & III,

Somatic SynthesisTM, or Yoga Teacher Training.

Students’ skills and knowledge will be tested with periodic quizzes, tests and practical exams.
