Herbal/Nutritional Consultant

This 100-hour program is designed to provide quality instruction which will prepare the individual to be an Herbal/Nutritional Consultant. These hours could also be applied to the Holistic Health Practitioner's program.

Job Title: Herbal/Nutritional Consultant

Skills to be learned:

  1. Students will learn the 10 major systems of the body and which herbs, herbal combinations and supplements support them.
  2. Students will learn the historical uses and contraindications of over 100 traditional western herbs.
  3. Students will learn to grow, harvest and store herbs that are indigenous to Southern California.
  4. Students will learn the use of herbs in the kitchen.
  5. Students will learn the role of minerals and vitamins in health and the reasons for eating "whole"-some foods.


Upon completion of training a written and practical exam will be administered. Instruction mode is 30% and 70% practical.
